In 2012, I was 20 years old. I was in my junior year of College at UC Berkeley, running on a full ride scholarship for the cross-country and track and field teams. It’s 2014 now though, and I just turned in paperwork for a medical leave of absence from my final semester at school due to severe Ulcerative Colitis.
The 19-year-old East Northport resident, who has autism, became one of the nation’s top prep runners during his time at Northport High School and has continued to make a name for himself after graduating in June.
